My Mirrorwhite Story.
In my culture, the color white stands for positivity and purity. This is my story where my positive thought was reflected by the universe to make my dream come alive, just like a mirror. Hence, I named the result Mirrorwhite.com.
Along with my family, I moved from India to the US three years ago. I gave up my job in the non profit sector to accommodate this move. I was extremely passionate about my work in India with under-privileged children and held a dream to send at least 100 children through school with my own resources. I struggled to find a job that I liked in the US, and one that would allow me to keep my dream alive. It depressed me.
One day, a friend of mine who was passionate about silver jewelry met up with me and suggested we start a handmade silver jewelry business together. I found this to be a possible hope to fund my dream of educating kids, even though I knew nothing about silver. Other than our positive intent, we had no experience in building a business.
Then the Universe began to do it’s magic.
Next month, on my visit to India, I met up with a person who was a longtime silver jeweler. I had just wanted to understand the business. However, after a few minutes of conversation, she made an unbelievable offer. She had a silver jewelry company in the US that she wanted someone to operate. She suggested that we become partners in the venture and build the business in the US. Since she also believed in a social cause, we decided that a part of our revenue would fund children’s education in India.
Our company, Mirrorwhite.com, was up and running in three months with a vision; ‘Style with Silver, Brighten a life’. We have made great strides in the nine months of operation. With the Universe on my side, things are beginning to miraculously happen.
