My Ming-Ming delivered to my doorstep
Submitted by: Angie Patten
Wilmington, NCA wife of 18 years & mother of 4 & refuses to grow up.
A few years ago, out of nowhere, I got this sudden urge to own a Shi-tzu dog. My husband & I had sworn off dogs forever because they were a lot of maintenance, therefore we had only allowed the kids to have fish & hampsters, & we had one cat. At the time, we were in the process of moving 3 states away, so after much “begging” my husband agreed, after we get to our new house we would get the puppy. So I submitted.
Meanwhile, I researched Shi-tzu’s, grooming, training, colors, habits, origins, price, etc. I printed pictures of Shi-tzu puppies and put them next to my phone. I already had her named and knew how I would raise her. I knew as soon as we got to Wilmington, NC I would buy a puppy at about $800 – $1,000 price range.
A month before we moved my daughter was given a ride home from her church youth group leader. She came in the door & said, “Mom you have to see this puppy!” To my surprise, it was my Ming-Ming!!!!! It was a 3 week old female Shi-tzu for sale. She was mine, & I only paid $400 for her – half of what I thought.
She is 2 years old today & she truly is my “best friend” and meant for me to have.
