My Little Tale About Money.
Submitted by: Hannah
England, U.K24 year old woman, in love, having fun and enjoying her life.
This is my little story about money, but before I tell you about my newfound wealth, I would like to say a few things about other areas of my life, all of which I am truly thankful for every single day.
I have a gorgeous, loving, and extremely talented boyfriend who I love so much. He makes me happy because he is a beautiful person inside and out. He is both my opposite and my perfect match all at once, and his sense of humor is the best! He is so silly, and I love that we laugh at silly things together every time we hang out. He is everything I want in a partner. Thank you for being you, for being awesome, and for just being yourself.
I did not have a job at this time last year, but just this month, I was offered three jobs, and the company I worked for offered me extra hours and a better job if I stayed with them. I love the people I work for, I know lots of people might not be so friendly with their co-workers, but mine are like a second family. They are the reason I have my job now because they always said how good I was at my job, and they wanted me to stay. I owe all that to them. Thank you for seeing how much I love the work I do. I want you to know I appreciate you and all that you do so much. And, may I say, what a fabulous gang of people you are to work with and for.
I would like for everyone to try this: Take a note out of your purse or wallet. Be it a £20 or a £10 or even a five, whatever you have, photocopy it and put all your photocopied money in your purse or wallet, but NOT next to your real money. You don’t want to get confused and put it down at the supermarket when doing your shopping! This will make you feel rich!
I played with my money, counted it, and I had £100 in fake money, but to me, it was real! I thought about how I would spend it once I had it. Where I would go, and what would I do. But really, all I wanted was disposable income and to have fun with it.
Sure enough, it came to me! And then even more came! And later, even more! Soon, I decided I wanted to save money and not spend, so I wrote, “MONEY COMES FREQUENTLY AND EASILY TO ME.” on a piece of paper. This was used in The Secret movie, which I love and I’ve watched many times. I placed the paper in my wallet so I looked at it every day when I opened my purse. Every time I open my wallet to buy something, I think it in my head, and I say it out loud. I used to say awful things like “I am broke” and “I can’t go out because I can’t afford it.” Now I think, “I can, and I will!”
My boyfriend and I are planning a holiday for next year, but we haven’t decided on the destination yet. It’s really exciting to look through holiday brochures. We’ve already bought some nice sunglasses and suitcases, so we’re all set. I’ve placed photos of us on top of pictures of places we want to visit, like Italy and Florida, so it looks like we’re actually there! I think it’s a great idea for everyone to do this. We both love the idea of traveling and seeing different parts of America and Europe. I believe it’s definitely possible. Our first stop will be Florida and then New York!
