It was during winter when I read The Secret, and I was amazed and shocked at how fathomable these stories were. I really wanted to share my story…

Before I started to read this book, I had written down a few goals on a sticky-note and I used it as a book mark too. These are the things I wrote down on the list:

1. to be healthier
2. a boyfriend who likes me for me and everything I looked for in a boy,
3. drama free,
4. better friends,
5. to be who I am and to not be afraid to express my feelings,
6. healthy skin- no blemishes or acne,
7. a better attitude towards life.

It really took me a while to finish this book, but when I was in the middle of the book, I took a look at the sticky-note and realized I had gotten everything I had asked for. The first words that came out of my mouth were not, “Wow, I’m amazed!” It was, “Thank you Universe for bringing me this joy and happiness into my life.”

I still hadn’t reached my sixth goal, or that’s what people try to convince me, but I believe differently; I believe I have healthy skin, I believe I am wonderful, I believe all wonderful things happen to me, I believe everything happens for a good reason.

My mother is at the age of 55 and she is having kidney failure, which is turning out to get better and better every day. I had supported her from the first time I saw her shaking and blue-skinned. My life immediately changed. I knew from reading The Secret I was ready to fulfill first myself; then others surrounding. I USED TO give to everyone, then myself, but I found that I wasn’t happy living this way.

I changed my life and I want people to know that. I am now happy and thankful for everything the Universe has to offer and I know you can be too if you really want it to be that way. I do not think negative, I think positive. I really wanted to share my story because if a fourteen-year old can turn their life around, then I know for a fact that anybody can.
