My Journey From Nothing to Everything.
I was always shy, silent and not thought to be an intelligent child. But I never failed to dream. I wanted to be famous, beautiful and always wanted that one award that the first three toppers of our school used to get every year.
One day when I was in 8th standard, when I was very sad about my life, my mom gifted me this book called The Secret.
By the mid-term of 8th, I had gotten the highest marks in my class in about every subject.
After that things took shape. I started receiving compliments from everyone about my looks and poise.
When it was my 10th, I decided that I wanted 98% with a 100/100 in Mathematics and Computer Applications. So I had put up a paper that I had written “98%” on my study desk. Up until my prelims, I had gotten 75% in every exam. I had almost lost hope and decided to remove the paper as I thought people might make fun of it. But, I didn’t.
After my Mathematics and Computer exam I came out of the exam hall saying only one sentence “I don’t think I will get 100.” But deep in my mind there was hope and a desire to have it.
Then it was result day and I was amazed to see 100/100 in both the subjects!! The percentage was 97%. I didn’t achieve my target, but c’mon, who would not be happy with a 97? The next day I came to know that I was third in the school, too!
When I look back to the time I had nothing, I cannot believe it is the same me.
Thanks Rhonda Byrne. Thanks Universe.
I am currently wishing to get into IIT Bombay. Hope Universe will grant this wish of mine too.
