My daughter introduced me to “The Secret” video about 2 years ago, then my boyfriend at the time gave me the book about a year ago. I have always believed in the power of positive thinking but wanted to “turn it up a notch”.

This past July, my boyfriend decided he wanted to just remain friends, which we still are but I was feeling a little let down. We had been using The Secret to get out of debt and make enough money to help countless others through philanthropy. A couple of weeks later, I decided to write myself a check. This was from my business account. I picked a random date and put it next to my computer. I later printed out several checks from the website and posted them all over my house. I kept the business check as well.

I run a small business from my home and was thinking about introducing my product to our regional grocery chain. Turns out, this chain has over 90 stores in 3 states. A few weeks later, I received a call from a buyer of the grocery chain wanting to sell my product in the store. I would be their only supplier of this particular product.

When my excitement was contained, I happened to glance at the business check next to my computer. I had sort of forgotten about it. Then I looked at the date I had written on it. That’s when my heart stopped and I realized it was the same date I had taken my product to the store to see if they were interested. The hair stood up on the back of my neck and I about fainted! The odd thing was it was such a random date and I had totally forgotten about the check which was hidden among other papers on my desk.

Since then, my business has exploded. I am now getting a retail store instead of running it out of my home. My franchisers have given me a great deal on new territory and things are just falling into place. I am hoping to be able to quit my full time night job and several other “gigs” I do to focus on my business.

I bought “The Power” and gave copies of both books to another daughter and my ex mother-in-law. They have both have incredible stories since then. I tell everyone I know about “The Secret”.

I also have a new man in my life but that’s another story for another day…………..
