I received a copy of The Secret DVD for my birthday in May. I was so excited after I watched it I started sharing it with everyone I knew. All of a sudden I realized I had used The Secret 5 years ago without even knowing what the Secret was.

I was 50 years old and had never owned my own home, not even when I was married. I was in debt, had zero money for a downpayment, and had not so great credit, but I decided I wanted to buy my own home. My friend moved into a development and when I went to visit her I fell in love with the development she lived in. It was on my way to work so I would drive through every morning and every evening just seeing myself living there, I didn’t know how but I knew I was going to.

My birthday was a month later and I received a card from my parents, Usually they would send all us kids $100.00 for our birthdays. I opened the card and saw the check – I had to put on my glasses and read it again – it was a check for $10,000. They had sold their house and were downsizing and decided to give everyone money from the sale. With that check I was able to pay off all my credit cards and still have a little left over towards a downpayment. We also started getting busy at work so I got a lot of overtime during this period so I was able to save more money. To make a long story short, even with my not so good credit I was put in touch with a mortgage broker who was able to get me a mortgage at 5.5% 30 year fixed. I called my friend to see if there were any condos for sale yet in her neighborhood and she gave me the name of a realtor that worked the area. I called her and left a message and two weeks later she called and said something just came up and wasn’t even on the market yet. I went and looked at it that day and it was the exact unit I wanted and they had even painted the walls the exact color I had envisioned my house having when I moved in. To make a long story short the house sold for the exact amount, I was approved for the loan, and I moved in 45 days later. The whole process from the start to the day I moved in took about 3 months. Now that’s the LOA working. And all it took was my belief that I was getting a house in that neighborhood. Now that I realize that I used the LOA without knowing it I am so excited about my next adventure in manifesting.
