Last year, when making my high school application, I made a huge mistake. I was totally blind to what I was doing and I applied for the worst school in my area.
Then when I received an offer from that high school, I finally realised what a big mistake I had made. The school I really wanted to go, the best school for miles, was oversubscribed and I could see no way of getting a place.

The moment I received the letter containing the offer from that school, I didn’t let myself be sad for a single moment, because I know how I could change things. She did speak to the school, and I ended up on their waiting list. Yesterday, I received a rejection letter from that school. I was really upset for about an hour when I decided to listen to The Power audio book. Yesterday night when I went to bed, I knew I would get my wish.

This morning, I woke up extremely happy. An hour later, I got an email from my teacher, telling me that my dad should call them and see where my position was on the waiting list. He called them up, and about an hour ago, I got an email from him saying he’d spoken to the headteacher, and he’d said that a place had just opened up and he’d given it to me!

Just one day after listening to The Power and applying it, I had got my desire. I had tried for months, but it hadn’t worked, because I hadn’t really applied it. But yesterday, I’d felt love and happiness with all my heart and I’d got my wish. I’d tipped the scales of my life.

If you’re trying to get what you want like me, just keep at it and if you believe enough, you WILL get it.
