My name is Caroline and I’m 27 years old.

When I was around 15 I had a blog where I wrote 2 times that my dream was to have my own clothing shop.

At 18 years old in 2006 my mother passed away from leukemia at only 41
years old.

While in the hospital sitting on her bed we were often talking about the future. She asked me what I wanted to become or work with when I finished school and I told her I sooner or later wanted my own shop.

I told her that I don’t know when or where, because I knew I had to get experience and of course money, but I just know I want to have it. I already, by then, had my idea of how the shop would look like, so I told her exactly my vision. I wanted to have a small shop not on the main shopping street, with white walls and white floors. Romantic and feminine clothes and white furniture. She said, if that’s what you want then you’re gonna have it. My mum past away 1 month later.

After school I went to Milan to study Fashion and Textile Design during 2008. After that I got a job back home in Sweden in a small cute shop on a backstreet behind the main shopping street. It was like a dream came true only I got to work there. I loved everything about it.

After 2 years working there my boss told me she wanted to have a bigger shop so she opened one more on the main street in September 2010 but with another name and company.

After just 2 months she felt that it was too much running in between two shops so then she asked me the question I never ever would have imagined she would ask. She asked me if I wanted to buy the one shop I was working in.

I did everything in my power to get the loan from the bank. Keeping in mind I was only 23, I was really, really able to persuade all the people involved.

And finally I got a yes from the bank! In January 2011 I was the owner of the shop and had my dream had come true!!

Now 2015, 4 years later I have payed back my loan and have one more shop with my best friend on the same street. Now were planning to make our own brand. Because when I know I can achieve my dreams of course I make new goals and new dreams.

So never stop believing in yourself and your dreams!
