I have been meaning to write my story to share it with you guys for a while now. I am finally doing it.

In 2010, I found myself unemployed and being supported by my husband. I was only going to college. By this time I had found The Secret or even better, The Secret had found me. I believed in it and started practicing the Law of Attraction.

My sister was working in a logistics company as a receptionist, making good money, with all the benefits like health insurance, 401k, and yearly bonuses, with the perfect schedule; working only office hours. She bought a brand new car and had money to save and spare. And I thought to myself, that is my dream job; I want that job for me and I want my brand new car, as well. I made a list with all these details about my job and my car and then forgot about it.

One of my sister’s coworkers was crazy about meeting me just because we shared the same birthday. One day, out of the blue, my sister called me and told me, “Send me your resume right now!”. I was in shock and she told me that the company she worked for had opened another company, which was not far from my house, and that they needed a new receptionist.

My sister’s friend, without knowing me yet, had told the CEO that I was perfect for that job; that I was as professional as my sister and that I was very interested in that position. By this time, I was not even looking and I was going to school full time. The CEO of that new company told my sister that he wanted me in that position and asked for my resume, only for HHRR records, because that job was mine already. My sister told him that I was probably not going to be able to work because I was going to school full time and I did not have a car, to which he responded, “Not a problem, she can take the bus and she can leave work early every day if she wants to, but she IS our new receptionist”.

So literally, I had been hired without applying for that job, without even looking, and I was sending my resume after being hired. Not only that, but I was getting EXACTLY what I had asked the Universe for; My, in that time, Dream Job. And after that I went and got the car of my dreams!

A year later, I asked the Universe for a better position in the sister company. I wanted to be the IT Administrative Assistant, with a better salary; I wanted to be in the IT Department since I was studying Computer Science, and guess what?

I got that, too, knocking on my door.

My boss in that time, the CEO of the company, had spoken with the CIO of the sister company and told him that if there were any position available in that department, I should be considered. Months later, the woman working in the position of “IT Admin. Assistant,” quit and the CIO asked the CEO for her permission to “steal me from her,” to which she agreed. And she even negotiated my salary, a 5k raise! Once again EXACTLY what I wanted!

I am currently still working for the CIO and I could not be happier. My boss is amazing, he is so kind and nice. He appreciates every little thing that I do. When I organize the meetings, he asks for a round of applause for me from the IT Dept and thanks me for the great job I have done. Who does that?! I’m just doing my job, and it is amazing to be recognized and appreciated. I could not be in better hands.

Now I am focusing on purchasing my new home.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Rhonda for sharing The Secret with all of us! It is truly amazing how one positive thought can change everything. Just focus on the positive side of things instead of the negative and you will see how everything around you changes for better.
