Exactly 3 years ago, I wrote in my diary that I want a government job along with my other goals and dreams. I completely forgot about my to-do list. Fast forward 3 years later, I just randomly applied for a government job, not thinking much about it. For the next few days, I constantly began to practice affirmations like “I am going to be called for an interview”, “This job is mine” and “My income is constantly growing”. I kept repeating that and imagined writing a goodbye email to my current employer. I even started with a draft email to practice.

About 3 months later, I was called for an interview. The interview questions were hard, but I remained positive and just was myself and did not pretend to know the answers if i didn’t know them. I answered each question with genuineness and honesty. I was later notified that I was qualified and met the requirement but they did not have a position for me yet. I remained calm and thanked God for my current role. I kept telling my husband all the good things about my current job and how lucky I was to be loved by so many people at work. I did not for a moment, regret it or think negatively about not getting in. To my surprise, they called me and offered me the position 4 months after the interview!!!!

I am so happy and so grateful for this life and for all the opportunities that keep knocking on my door. I am truly blessed. I have been practising The Secret off and on, but without it, I can not imagine my life. Thank you, Rhonda, for this blessing and for this knowledge. Thank you all for reading!
