My husband and I, who are 51 and 38 years old respectively, had been unsuccessfully trying to conceive for 2 and a half years. I started using The Secret to make our dream come true, but it was hard at the beginning to manage my emotions when it was clear it was not working. Eventually, I managed to feel good and excited anyway, every time my period started. I would think, “Ok, it’s not this month but it might be the next one!” I would imagine the way I would have felt as if I had gotten a positive pregnancy test. Every day I was also imagining my son, how he would look, and me spending time with him.

Nothing happened for several months, so I decided to write my wish down. At first, I wrote the Chinese symbol for ‘son’ and put it on a necklace I bought for that purpose. Nothing changed for several weeks. Then I realized that the symbol really did not mean anything to me, it did not make me feel anything.

So I changed the ‘son’ symbol with another piece of paper. On that paper, I drew a sun that meant “son” to me, and two stick figures holding hands around it, symbolizing me and my man. That really made me feel excited and happy! I used to always feel that way and I would also always feel so very grateful every time I saw the necklace.

My very next period did not start, so I took a test and it was positive! I was amazed! But that was not all. My husband has 2 daughters already, so he really wanted to have a boy as his probably last child. I really wanted it to be perfect for both of us. So, once I knew I was pregnant, I started to focus on ‘baby blue’ or blue items around me. At week 18, a doctor told me it looked like a boy, while during another exam a week later, another doctor told me she was 90% sure it was a girl. I just had a few weeks more before knowing for sure, which would be during my 21-week visit. I felt worried but every time I did, I just focused on my piece of paper, feeling sure that the Universe gives you exactly what you ask for. I bought some boy clothes, and was imagining how to give the good news to my husband as well as how to tell my story on this website, too!

As you have probably had already guessed, today I had that visit and it is a boy!! We are so happy and everything is just perfect. Plus we had a bonus! All my good vibes during this time made our personal and professional lives even better!
