Dream City, Boy And university!
Submitted by: Chandana
Bangalore, IndiaA very lucky girl, following her dreams. :)
Well, where do I begin about The Secret?
I had read this book around 5 years back for the first time. Ever since then every time I practiced The Secret, I got what I wanted.
I attended my favorite university for undergrad. Did PG from the same institution.
I have always felt like a very lucky girl for whom the best always happens. And, I truly believe that from the bottom of my heart.
I have been dating my very lovely boyfriend for about 3 years now. We both had a dream of going to the USA for our Masters and studying in the same city.
I made a vision board and made sure I put in all the things I want to attract in there.
My boyfriend got accepted to the universities he wanted in Massachusetts very early, while I got many rejects. I always wondered why because I was very confident that I would get into all.
I then realized that I was just confident but I did not really FEEL the happiness and gratitude from inside.
Another reason was, the moment I got doubts I would apply to more universities. Which in a way gave proof that I had more options and I wasn’t sure of what I wanted.
Emerson College was the first college my eyes were laid out on the day I began my research on universities, but I hadn’t applied to it. When the deadlines were approaching I don’t even know why, but I just took a shot and applied. I even found a friend’s friend who is now my neighbor, on Facebook and contacted her for advice and help. I shunned all the doubts I have and began to be happy and do my daily
duties without fail. I knew the best was coming. It’s like when you go shopping, you end up buying what you liked first. It really felt like that.
One day I was just randomly watching YouTube videos and my mailbox made a beep noise. When I checked, It was my offer letter from Emerson!!! 🙂
My dream of studying and living in Boston close to my boyfriend came true!
I am so happy! 🙂
Everything happened for the best!
If it were not for those rejects I wouldn’t have applied to Emerson.
If it were not for what happened, I wouldn’t have gotten in touch with The Secret
and practiced it as a part of my lifestyle.
I love life! Nothing is too big a dream!
We are living close to each other and happy as ever!
I love you Rhonda Byrne!
A girl studying her MA IMC at Emerson College, Class of 2016.
Love you all!
