I’ve always wanted to write a story on this website, but never had anything super profound to share. This one is a small glimpse of how the Universe works.

Today was just like any other day for me, until I read an email in the afternoon that put me in a bad mood. The person didn’t write anything bad, but they didn’t say what I wanted to hear, and that upset me. However, instead of letting it go and focusing on the outcome I wanted, I let it gnaw at me as I went to my evening class.

That day class was a disaster for me. My bad mood from the email spilled over into my class, and I was getting even more frustrated. I couldn’t seem to get anything to work out for me that day in class, so my mood was getting worse by the minute, and nothing was going right.

After class I decided to hit the gym to de-stress. I get to the gym, and can’t really focus so I end up leaving. As I’m driving home, I get pulled over by a cop for speeding. At this point I’m on the verge of tears with how horrible my day is going. I give him my information, and am waiting for him to come back with the ticket. As I’m waiting I start crying, but something inside me told me to start being positive, so I did.

I didn’t know what to do, so I just started mentally saying thank you for anything I could think of. I fully expected to get a ticket for speeding, the thank yous were in hopes of changing my mood. I was waiting in my car for the cop to come back, as I’m going through anything I can thank the Universe for, and wondering why it was taking so long.

The cop comes back out, and gives me a warning to sign!!

I didn’t get a ticket! No points, and I owe nothing!!!

It really does work, and it works quickly. Just be grateful, and thankful for everything, and you’ll be amazed how the Universe responds!
