My Closing Costs.
Submitted by: Lynne P.
Omaha, NEI am a mommy of 3 beautiful kids, a writer, and a 7th grade teacher with an amazing life. I have believed in The Secret for years! I am teaching my kids as well as my students that they have the power in themselves.
My husband I and are buying a house and this is a very stressful thing.
We found the house and were a week into the closing process when I realized we wouldn’t have the money to close without making ourselves really short the next month. I went into panic mode and as I am the breadwinner, I started thinking of ways I could make money.
At that point, I stopped myself and remembered what I had read in The Secret. I said to the Universe, “I expect $4,000 in the next 20 days.” I didn’t need that much to close, but I wanted some extra for moving costs.
Every time I would get tense about closing I just repeated this over and over until I felt better. After a few days I got an unexpected check from the dealership from whom I’d just bought my car. I just kept repeating my saying.
I then got another little check from some unknown source. I then stepped it up and said to the Universe, “This isn’t what I have asked for, where is it?” I pretty much demanded that the Universe send it to me now.
About a week later I opened my mail, and there was a check from some company I’d never heard of. I looked at the explanation, and it said it was a refund of costs for my daughter’s medicine. It was…$1,290!
I had more than enough for the closing and extra as well. I was so joyful and thankful that I teared up. I hugged my husband repeatedly and just kept saying, “Thank you, thank you” to the Universe.
We didn’t end up getting that house due to another blessing from the Universe.
We had horrible downpours of rain and the basement in the house we were going to buy flooded terribly. The home inspection came back bad and we decided not to buy that house.
We are now closing on a house that we love even better than the other house, it is much nicer and less money to close on it.
The Universe is amazing, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
