I am writing my story here because I want to contribute to the great thing that goes on here, motivating and guiding people in their tough times and showing them the light. I keep coming here to read the amazing success stories, motivating, and giving me hope and showing me the path to make my wishes come true. Everybodys’ story is so moving and helpful in lifting my state of mind and hopes. Thank you to everyone who has contributed here, you don’t realize how helpful and uplifting your words really are!

I hade been going through a really bad mental phase from a year or so! My younger brother had not been going through good times, he flunked college, did not get a job, was confused with his career options, and he didn’t have the confidence or the right mental state, either. I was so worried for him and my whole family, as it is kind of important for middle-class parents and family to have their children be financially independent right after college.

I had been helping my brother to see career options and to boost his confidence in himself. It has been really hard and challenging to get a job off-campus and he had been looking for a job sincerely for 2 months. I had been under a lot of stress, as my parents and I both don’t have enough money to support my brother, and also because of his low confidence and ‘run away from challenges’ attitude. I was sick, stressed, and shattered from constantly trying to help out my family.

I knew about The Secret and The Magic. I have known about them and read the books 10 years ago. I had used The Secret many times in the past to manifest a lot of desires and I had a strong faith in it. I do follow gratitude practices a lot in general. But, I had felt so weak and was unable to follow The Secret and The Magic practices for the subjects of my brother getting a job and my family’s finances flowing. I was so negative and frustrated with him around me and me constantly helping him out. I had lost my faith.

Then, I started coming back here to read other people’s stories to remind me of The Secret practices. It really helped me a lot! Every single day it would lift my spirits and faith a bit higher and remind me of my practices. In a couple of days, I started feeling good and I forced myself to only think about the outcome I wanted and not about how would I get it. I ignored all the bad and stressful things happening around me in the house for like a week. I really forced myself to accept there was no action that I needed to do for my brother for him to get a job. I only needed to visualize and feel good. I knew it was difficult and I had been desperate but I could only visualize and feel good and then it will happen. It had worked in the past and it would work now too.

I held myself in this mental state for like a week and it worked!!! My brother got a job!!

Thank you, Universe, for fulfilling my prayer. I am so grateful to you!! I apologize for forgetting about The Secret and The Magic practices for a year. Trying to control things and fretting about them not happening had made me miserable.

Remembering The Secret again and practicing it was difficult in the first few days but then later it became easier. I suggest you give it a try with an open mind for the first few days, even if you feel like you cannot. You will see things changing within you and around you.
