This is a story about my best friend. For three years now, she works in one of the famous and very well situated firms in Croatia. Her wage is more than good considering the situation in our country today.

She got that job after finishing college a few years back, and she was proud (as she should be), because she achieved all that with hard work. But, even though she works in a great firm, even though her wage is more than awesome, she wasn’t happy. The environment in her firm was horrid. She was working with people who looked down on others; their egos couldn’t match my best friend’s good heart. She was different than them.

With the tension that was going on for a long time it came to the point where she wanted to quit the job. It even started to influence her health, and she started to have health issues. Doctors said she was fine, but her emotional state was causing all the problems. Then one day I was at work and had nothing to do. It was boring and I had no customers. I was searching for some old magazines that I could read and that’s when I found it… There were notes, notes about The Secret that a friend of mine was taking. I knew about The Secret but I never really thought much about it. A few days later I had a chit chat with my best friend and we started talking about it. I told her what I have read in the notes and said she should apply it on herself.

From that day, she started saying affirmations out loud, about how she wants a better situation regarding her job. Every day, a number of times, she was saying that affirmation. After one month she called me all excited. She said that her boss transferred her to another department, and she was moved away form the bad environment she was formerly working in. Since then, we hardly ever talk about her situation at work because there are no more bad things going on, she is smiling more often and she stopped crying. She was sending her wish to the Universe, and the Universe responded.
