Today is my 18th birthday, and I just wanted to say that The Secret has changed my life more than I had known until today.

As an exercise, I made a “gratitude list” for my goals, a “Thankful list” for the things I have, and a list of things I want to do before I die. Each of these things is written in the present and every morning before I go to school and before I go to sleep at night I read each of them and make myself feel like I am living the life that comes with each of those things.

Being 18 today, I started my day off with not feeling so great for various reasons even though it was my birthday. A few hours into my day I decided that this was not how I was going to feel! I went over my lists, listened to some music that makes me smile, etc. and just went about my day. Now for me the hardest part of The Secret is letting the universe do its job and not jump right into something because I want results. Now, I have been trying very hard to do that.

So, about five minutes ago I was sitting here actually accomplishing not trying to force the universe into something when this amazing idea popped into my head completely out of nowhere. This idea is particularly amazing because it focuses on one of the top ten things on my list of things to do before I die, which is to inspire a crowd of people. This idea is brilliant and amazing and I cannot believe it came from my mind! I am actually crying of joy from this experience and finally understand the epiphany moment described in the book and documentary!
