Money On My Mind.

Las VegasI'm 17 years old, and I am a homeschooled High School student. When I was in elementary school, as a bedtime story my mother would read The Secret to my younger sister and I every night. I have always believed in the power of The Secret, and when I put all my trust into the Universe, wonderful things happen.
I’m one of those teens that is constantly trying to find ways to make money. Last Summer, I was stuck in a rut. My online business that I had just started 8 months prior was having steady success, but I wanted it to explode overnight with popularity. I watched The Secret, hoping that I would get some sort of surge of motivation in me and that I would somehow be able to attract more business to my store, and more money in my wallet. I noticed in the film that there’s a discussion about vision boards. I love making collages, so I thought this was a great idea for me to pursue.
I made my vision board by using pictures from online. On my board, I placed images of successful female entrepreneurs that I aspired to be, stacks of money, and even the emblem of the online marketplace I was selling my products from. I added some additional photos of things I wanted just in general, like good grades, my preferred college, even this gorgeous east coast mansion I hope to own one day.
Back to my online business. Once summer had commenced, I had only about 15 sales. After making the board, throughout summer vacation, I would look at my board every morning when I’d wake up and I would just say this is going to happen, my store will attract business. Now, I didn’t get orders poring in right away. Exactly 30 days after having made my vision board, I started to get notified of several orders that people had been purchasing. Once the school year started up again, my total store sales had gone from 15 to 55 in two months! And each time I was notified or was in the midst of making an order, I would thank the Universe for it. I would thank it for listening, and for helping me attract customers, and I would tell the Universe how grateful I was to have gotten these orders.
It is beyond important to tell not just the Universe or a higher power of your gratitude, but it is important to tell others as well. I was always thankful for the little and big things my mother has done for me, but now, I am always always always telling her how grateful I am that she got me an ice cream (lol!), or bought me a new dress or shoes. If it wasn’t for my mother, ultimately, I wouldn’t have ever been able to harness the power of The Secret. Today, my store is less than 20 orders away from having achieved 200 sales! I have other goals and aspirations in mind that I hope – no, that I know will happen to me.
Thank you so much to The Secret!
