When I started reading The Secret, my daughter Viviana asked me if it really did work. I told her to put it to the test. She wanted to see if she could get some money so she would practice at home by saying, “Thank you for the money that I have received.” She told me she would visualize some money in her hand and beleive.

One day she came from school with a huge smile on her face and two dollar bills in her hand. I thought good for her, she got her little wish. But that was just the beginning. In the course of at least three months she kept coming home with two to four dollar bills that she explained she kept finding in the playground. I called her teacher and asked if she was aware of the money my daughter was “finding” in school, and she said to my surprise that Viviana came by the school office regularly asking if any children reported any lost money because she felt bad keeping it. The teacher actually told her not to worry and to keep the money unless it was a big amount of money, then she shoukd ask the office.

One day Viviana came home with a ten dollar bill. She said she was sitting in the playgrond closing her eyes and she was thanking for the money she had received when she felt something fall on her face. And when she opened her eyes it was a twenty dollar bill. She gave it to the teacher so she could ask around the children and teachers if anyone lost any money. When they said no she gave it to Viviana, who in the end decided to split it with the teacher for helping her find the owner.

I believe Viviana got her wish because she beleived in the higher power, and for being kind as well. I think she did a great job in believing!
