Money Came In.
I bought The Secret on CD. I don’t know why but I was drawn to it on the shelf at Barnes and Noble.
I listened to it for about two weeks and decided to write myself a check for $20,000. I told myself I was going to be out of debt in 30 days. Each day I imagined myself out of debt. One morning I woke up and felt different. The worry of being in debt was gone and I felt as if I was literally out of debt, even though nothing had changed on paper. I even excitedly told my wife that morning that we were out of debt! She just looked at me like I was crazy.
In exactly 29 days from writing myself the check, I received a notice in the mail that I had a pension I had forgotten about and could have started collecting two years prior, and that they were sending me a check for $22,000. I was stunned, but the feeling of joy and gratification for being out of debt was already there from when I started truly believing I was out of debt.
I decided to try it again, and wrote another check for $20,000. In two weeks my sister called and said my father’s house had sold and she was sending me my share for $20,000. It worked again!
