Money Appears Out Of Nowhere.
Submitted by: Matt
Albany, MoI'm a fifty-year-old white male who lives in a small town in rural America. After the passing of my stepmom and father two years ago, I was reminded again of how precious life is. As a result, I quit my dead end factory job to pursue my dream of becoming a full time writer. One novel in, along with several short stories written, I'm still pursuing publication.
Hello everyone,
I realize the tagline for my story might seem dramatic but it felt that way at the time. I will get to that story in a moment, but that was the second blessing of the week, so let’s start with the first.
I work from home and am not dating anyone, I am still attracting ‘the one’, so I decided to kick the Fourth of July weekend off early and go to the casino. The closest casino is sixty miles away and normally I would spend that drive time listening to music or a podcast. This time I drove in silence while repeating the mantra, “Money comes to me easily and abundantly.”
Repeating my mantra over and over silently, I placed a hundred dollars in a slot machine and began to play. It was a machine that I had won on before but was only having moderate success this time. After many up and downs, I cashed out sixty dollars ahead and went to grab a soft drink and unwind.
After walking around and relaxing for a few minutes, I was drawn to an empty row of three slot machines. I planned to play the one at the end, but when I walked closer I was drawn to the one in the middle. The theme of the machine comforted me by reminding me of my deceased father and stepmother. Within three plays I hit a minor jackpot and won over six hundred dollars! It happened so fast and I am still amazed. My point, however, is that I wasn’t blessed until I surrendered how I thought it should happen.
Now for my other blessing, which happened yesterday. My late father had two fireproof lock boxes that he kept his important documents in. I promised to give my sister one of the lockboxes for her to use but I needed to clean it out first. Since I would be visiting my sister and her family soon, I finally decided to clean one out. Last week I opened it and dumped the contents on the bed in my spare room. Yesterday I was feeling blue for whatever reason and decided to focus on my mantra again, “Money comes to me easily and abundantly.”
Bored and on a whim, I decided to clean out the pile of documents and throw out what was no longer needed. Repeating my mantra over and over and not expecting any outcome, I became overzealous. I grabbed a handful of papers to throw away, when two, crisp, one hundred dollar bills floated out of the pile and landed in front of me. Needless to say, I took my time after that.
I know what you are thinking, hey, your dad stuffed them in there earlier. You would be correct, but the thing is, my sister and I searched through it multiple times after dad’s passing looking for insurance papers, birth certificates, etc. We should have found it then.
My point is, that I surrendered to a blessing by repeating my mantra, and I didn’t even have to leave my home to be blessed with a miracle. I received $800 dollars in less than a week and did not even have to work for it. Amen.
Thank you so much for The Secret To Love, Health and Money.
