Miracles Do Happen When You Believe.

Yorkshire, UKHappily married, the second time around. Have four kids between us and 7 grandchildren. Was lucky to be able to retire early. Lived in Spain for 12 years before returning to the UK with my husband and dog. Needed to be closer to family, and am very happy now. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I first read The Secret book about 10 years ago, and it really did have a profound effect on my life. I had always been a believer in God but knew he wasn’t some old white bearded man sitting on a cloud. I was told in my teens that I was a natural clairvoyant. I always “just knew things” my instincts, hunches, or whatever you want to call them, and they were always right. Unfortunately, I didn’t always follow them though, so my life was a struggle for a while in my earlier years. Reading The Secret gave me clarity, and it excited me to know now about the things that I had always somehow had a feeling about.
At first, I used The Secret to order good weather when my daughter was getting married. The weather had been awful and everyone laughed, but I stuck to my guns and ordered the weather to be good, not worrying how it would happen but just knowing, in the face of quite the opposite, that it would! Oh boy did it work, and despite torrential rain and winds the day before, the sun came out and the day was just perfect. I was very thankful. So it started small, but I used it most days to find good parking spots, to sell our villa without any issues, and to find the right home for us in the UK. I read The Magic too and followed its directions every day. Counting my blessings, and being thankful for all those “little things in life” often taken for granted. Everything was going to plan. I was happy, very happy.
Then disaster struck. My husband got ill. Very ill. Without going into all the details, he was hospitalized and after two weeks, I was called in to be told he was going to die. Nothing could be done. His lungs were so badly damaged he would die as soon as the breathing machine was turned off. I was told to get family around to say their goodbyes, and that they would make him “comfortable” until the time came. I just did not, would not believe it. I sat with him all night. I prayed to the Universe all night, I hardly slept. I thanked the Universe for listening, over and over again. Our daughter flew in from Australia, our other daughters came from afar in the UK. My husband was heavily sedated. He hardly knew they were there. I continued to stay with him, holding his hand and praying, and thanking the Universe all night and all the next day.
Then the miracle happened. He opened one eye and looked at me. He said, “What are you doing here?” I replied, “I have been sitting here with you, just watching you sleep, how are you feeling now?” His reply was something I will never forget as long as I live, “Do you know, I think there’s been a miracle, I feel so much better.”
I burst into quiet tears, and although I knew he was still very ill, I knew that he was going to recover! I thanked the Universe. Over and over. The Doctors did their rounds that morning and were amazed to see his O2 SATS had improved, and that he was quite conscious. I told them that with all due respect, they didn’t know everything and that only God and the Universe could decide who would live or die. They looked at me as if I were crazy and said that he still was in danger and not to get my hopes up! Of course, I ignored them!
John, my hubby, continued to slowly improve and after 8 weeks, he came home. He was in the hospital during Christmas and New Year but he came home on 3rd January. My miracle had happened. The Universe had listened. I am forever grateful. He still continues to improve every day, and at the time of writing this, has been told that he does not need to be seen for another six months. I am eternally grateful to the Universe. There isn’t a day that goes by without me giving thanks for my continued good health. I know the Universe is listening. I am so happy and thankful for discovering The Secret.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
