I have to share a neat story with you. I have been renting a wonderful house for the last seven months. I really would love to buy it, but it’s a $445,000 house. It was already amazing that we were chosen out of 40 people to rent this house, without our credit or references being checked, and that the rent was only $750 a month for six months, then raised to $1000. You have to see this house to know how awesome this is – over 3000 square feet, six bedrooms, three bathrooms – just really beautiful.

The reason the rent was so low is because it was on the market. I told the property manager to let the owner know I would like to do a rent to own or owner carry. I haven’t heard much, things have been really confusing with new property managers coming and going. I didn’t know how to get a hold of the owner, and kept getting different stories about what was going on.

My husband and I decided to go our separate ways a couple of days ago. I have been anxious as to what was going to happen to me and my little son. I am not working full time and couldn’t see how I could keep this house myself, but I was determined that I would find a way. I started praying often and asking for guidance as to what I should do, where I was going to go, what was going to happen, etc, and visualizing, staying positive all the while. I’ve only cried once! I just kept saying that I know everything will work out and we’ll be fine, something always turns up, etc.

I prayed a lot last night and did a little fast and prayer this morning, along with some visualization and positive thinking. I told my good friend that morning, “This is MY house, I am staying here!!”

Now remember, I’ve been waiting to hear what is going on for months…

Around noon today, the new property manager knocked on the door and handed me a card, and asked me to call the owner. I called him and he told me that there are a group of them that are buying a bunch of houses on short sale, this one included, and the sale price will drop drastically. He said he would work with me on buying the house and that if all I could afford was $750 a month, I could pay that for two years and then we would re-evaluate!!! He also told me I didn’t have to pay rent this month! Oh my gosh, you have got to be kidding!!! This is amazing! I feel so blessed, so powerful, and so watched out for! God is good. We are going to be fine.
