I had been looking for a home to buy about 6 months ago. I love mid century homes and am an avid collector of furniture from the 50’s. I’d made a couple of bids on some homes but didn’t get them for one reason or another.

I really wanted to get my three kids and myself out of the 2 bedroom we had been living in and was really hoping for something with enough rooms for us all. With the price range I was in it seemed nearly impossible until I saw “the house”. You know that feeling where it’s meant to be. I could picture myself coming home to that house. I set up an appointment to look at it and decided for a 2nd look the next day. I called my realtor and told her to put in a bid. When she called back she said there were already two bids in on it and they had taken it off the market. It was a daily bid foreclosure auction. I cried and felt my heart drop so far down. I didn’t even go on the real estate site for that whole week.

Then I calmed down and I remembered The Secret. I said out loud “That is my house.” I kept telling myself that all night. The next morning I saw it listed again. I called the realtor and got my bid accepted $7000 under asking price!! I am now in my dream house and restoring it to its original beauty! I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!
