Meeting Bruce Springsteen!
Submitted by: Jaclyn Nicole Johnston
Dallas, TXI'm a huge lover of animals, science, poetry, music and movies. I work at University in the physics department. I believe in the law of attraction!
I have been a huge Bruce Springsteen fan for most of my life. I’m 34 and I never thought my “pipe dream” would come true! I had a dream one night that Bruce Springsteen pulled me up on stage at his concert and danced with me during “Dancing In The Dark”. I woke up bummed the dream was over, but laughing because I literally said out loud, “Yeah right! But it’s a nice thought!” I got ready to go to work and forgot all about it.
Exactly one month later I went to Bruce Springsteen’s free concert in Dallas, TX. I raced to the front of the stage when they opened the gates and stood for nearly 7 hours in 50-degree and rainy weather before he came on stage during the NCAA March Madness Music Festival in 2014. He came out and I was just completely in awe because I had never been front row before! Not ever. I did not move from that spot for nearly 7 hours because I didn’t want to lose my front row place as it was general standing outside in Reunion Park. I was so thankful for being in the front row! I couldn’t believe it! Not only was the concert free, but I was front row! I was truly thankful!
The next thing I knew, he was pulling me up on stage and dancing with me during “Dancing In The Dark”! I was in shock! The only thing I could think to say in his ear was, “I had a dream about this very moment exactly one month ago. Thank you so much!”
To this day I am still shocked my “pipe dream” came to fruition! And I am so thankful!! That was the best day of my life. I know that the Universe and maybe my Dad above gave me this gift and I am forever thankful!
Don’t give up and just relax. Think of your hopes and dreams with a positive outlook and not with too much obsession over them. If it happened to me, it can certainly happen to you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
