I am from India, and Amitabh Bachchan has always been my favorite actor. I always longed to see him in person. I used to visualize myself standing next to him, in short ‘being there’ with him, some day, some time – in spite of knowing that meeting him was, and still is, almost impossible due to many reasons. But my desire brooked no quenching and I kept on dreaming of being with him some day.

The dream was the closest one I ever had. I used to think, visualize, and do everything that ‘The Secret’ postulates to make thoughts ‘things’.

One day, it came out in a newspaper that he would be the chief-guest in centenary dinner at one of the most esteemed clubs in Calcutta, and only the members and their guests would have the rare opportunity of meeting him. I started ferreting for some contact I could hook on to get an entry in the club that momentous day and ‘be there’ with the Amitabh… and a friend of mine offered me the chance to be his guest to the club on that grand occasion.

YES… I SAW HIM AND STOOD NEXT TO HIM FOR HOURS.

I’ve never tried to rationalize the series of happenings that realized my dream. But after reading ‘The Secret’ I understood that it could happen all for the clear thought/wish I had nurtured within.
