When I moved to the UAE, I worked in a beautiful locality. It was a vibrant community with beautiful lakes. I always wished to live in a lake view apartment there but the rents were too high for us. I have to confess, this locality always felt out of reach, so I never specifically envisioned living here. I, however, always spoke about wishing I could live here.

One day I made a vision board giving thanks for my new home. Maybe I had this place in mind when I wrote the specifics but I do not know. I wrote that I was so grateful to have a beautiful 2bhk apartment with a storage room and lovely view to raise the baby that I was yet to manifest. I wrote about the vibrant community with lots of pubs and restaurants around us. I wrote that I was so grateful to raise my baby in this apartment and the rent is so affordable even on one salary so that I can take leave without pay for some time after my baby is born.

We had begun casually looking at new homes. At the start of 2019, we had not found anything we liked in our budget so far. My pregnancy manifested at the end of 2019 and we now needed a bigger place as soon as possible. I just chanced upon a listing in my dream locality. I wasn’t even looking there because as mentioned, the rents were too high. This ad stuck out to me because it was advertised at a price much lower than the market rate. We thought there was probably a catch to it, but arranged for a viewing nonetheless. On going for the viewing, we loved the apartment! It had a gorgeous view of the lake, it was spacious, had a store room and a maid’s room, and it checked all our boxes. Even better, it was just a 5 minutes walking distance from my office. We rented it!

I gave birth to my daughter a couple of months later and we had the happiest 3 years in this apartment. We have enjoyed so many amazing moments as a family taking walks around the lake, taking my daughter to the community parks, dining at the restaurants, and walking to the nearby pubs with friends. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We now have to move our home due to some issues the landlord is facing. I am looking forward to my next manifestation coming true. I have learned to let go of my limiting beliefs and I know that anything is possible in this beautiful game of life! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
