A few years ago I had been listening to all of Rhonda’s books in my car on the way to my work. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school. I was very inspired and started attracting smaller things, but then decided to aim bigger. I had always wanted to complete a degree, having left university previously after only one semester to take care of my dad. I knew because of this I would not be able to finance a degree, but I always dreamed about it.

The Secret book inspired me to look into a degree again. I went along to an open day at my local university. While I knew that I could not afford to give up work to get a degree, I decided to pretend. I was going to become a teacher, which means it did not matter what my degree was in. When I walked into the open day, I said to the Universe, “I am going to trust that you will point me in the right direction.”

The first person to approach me was a lady who was in charge of the courses required to do with Education. When I told her I was a teaching assistant and wanted to become a teacher she said, “You are in just the right place!” Her colleague then told me about a course in Education that would expect me to be at work at the same time! I could continue my job and go to uni one day a week! What was even better, when I spoke to the student finance team, I found out that I was still eligible for a student loan so could afford to do the course!

I absolutely loved going to uni to get my degree. In the beginning, I told myself that I wanted a first class degree. I knew that it was a pipe dream but the law of attraction had worked so far, hadn’t it? I used the law of attraction throughout my schooling to help me find certain quotes, to support me in finishing my essays, and to generally enjoy the experience.

I have just graduated with a first class degree! What’s more, my uni supervisor has asked to use my work as an example to show other students, and I was invited to speak to the current class too!
