So I just started reading The Secret and after about 20 pages I couldn’t help but relate The Secret with the things I had experienced in the past. I did not know anything about the law of attraction. But I remember once thinking about how strange it was that I managed to somehow scramble up a large enough amount of money that I was missing to buy that phone that I really wanted in just a day, even though it was more money than what I would receive from my sources in a month. But here’s one story that really stuck out and even to this day I have a hard time comprehending how it happened.

One day as a teenager I was at the beach with some friends and while they were chilling at the beach I went snorkeling. I was used to finding some money when I go snorkeling as it was a busy beach, and sure enough, I was thinking that I would find some money this time too. So after a while I found a 2 euro coin and proudly went back to my friends to brag about it. They started mocking me as they though 2 euros wasn’t a really huge sum of money. Then I told them, you know what? I’m gonna go back and I am going to find 10 euros. They said, yeah right. Let’s see it. So I went back inside the water and at the first dive I found 10 euros. Went back to tell my friends, “Didn’t I tell you?”, but they were still unimpressed and continued mocking me. I started to even doubt it myself, wondering if I actually found it or if I had presented them with my own money.

Then I said, you know what? I’m gonna go back there and I will find a golden chain. They had the same response, yeah right, which made me even more eager to prove them wrong. I remember going back towards the sea picturing in my head how the sun might reflect over the gold inside the water. As soon as I got into the water and swam far enough where I could not reach the bottom with my feet, I dove underwater. The first thing I saw was the sun rays shimmering on the bottom of the sea so much so that I had no way of missing it. I dove down with all my strength and grabbed it with the first attempt. I swam back with my heart pounding so fast from excitement and my brain trying to make sense out of what just happened. I went back and presented it to my friends and everyone including me was in awe. I got the validation from my friends that my snorkeling expedition was actually worth something after all.

Later that day I went to a jewelry shop and sold the chain for about 100 euros. It was only after reading the first 20 pages of the book that I could finally attribute sense to what happened that day. If the law of attraction does exist than it had manifested itself perfectly upon me right then and there. Thank you!
