I’ve been a long time fan of The Secret. I own the movie, audio book, and the book. I also own Hero, The Power, and I recently bought the audio book, The Secret To Money Master Class. I also recently downloaded The Secret Super App too.

I have been in and out of jobs for the last 8 years. I am miserable when I work for someone else. I just know that I’m suppose to do bigger things on my own. Money has been a big issue in my life since my divorce 8 years ago. I knew I was thinking about it all wrong but couldn’t seem to change my thoughts.

I left my job 4 weeks ago because I wasn’t making enough to cover my bills and I couldn’t get a second job because they had me working a ton of crazy hours. To say I was miserable, overworked, and stressed out would be an understatement. I knew for my health and mental well being that I needed to leave. I had no new job lined up and decided I would finally focus on 2 different at-home businesses I’d been trying to get off the ground for over a year now. I also finally listened to this new audio book, The Secret To Money Master Class.

At a gas station this week, I got out to pay for gas. I didn’t have much money and honestly, I was short paying my bills this month. As I was walking into the gas station I heard the homeless guy on the sidewalk say something. I had $53 in my wallet. I handed him $1 as I didn’t really hear what he said. I then asked him “Is that what you needed?” He said he was hungry and wanted a meal. Something came over me and right then I said, “Well come on then and come inside, I’ll buy you whatever you want.” As he went around and grabbed 2 things, I kept asking if he was sure he did not want more? So he grabbed a few more things. I was so exited to be able to feed this man! While helping him through the store I was just giddy with the fact that I had the money to pay for him to eat!

As we stood in line waiting to pay, the guy in front of us laid a handful of change on the counter for gas. He said he did not know how much it was but to put it all on pump 8. I felt an overwhelming feeling and laid down $3 dollars for his gas. He tried to refuse and I said, “I had someone help me once and it’s only a couple dollars, let me pay it forward.” He finally agreed and went on his way. I paid for the homeless man’s food and wished him a lovely day as I got my gas.

Man I was on cloud nine for the rest of the day! I was actually almost in tears and just feeling so much love for over an hour. I was so happy that I could show others love in those moments!! I didn’t have any expectations for it.

A few weeks earlier, I had filed for unemployment for the first time in my life, not sure if I’d get it but thought I’d try anyway. For a few days I kept focusing on the amount of money I needed, saying I do not know where it will come from but it will come. I focused on the letter I created stating my unemployment would be accepted. I read it out loud to myself. I planned for the money monthly in my budget. I knew if I could get the unemployment money, I could relax a little and focus on building my 2 businesses. Each time I went to the mailbox that week I felt gratitude for the letter stating I had received it.

Wouldn’t you know? Yesterday I checked my mail and I was awarded the unemployment for 6 months! I am also being given back pay, and it was double what I had thought it would be!!!! I’ll receive my first payment this coming week. I’m beyond overjoyed!
