I promised I would share my story here when I got a job offer. I was introduced to The Secret in 2015. I used to be very negative and prepared for the worst. After dating for umpteen times, I always met the wrong one and I felt so jaded.

A friend of mine introduced me to The Secret and my life changed. I met the guy I wanted and I even got myself a new job with a very good increment.

Then I started to take things for granted, complained about my job, and hence I got retrenched. I got very negative again and started to swear and complain about my ex-boss for not treating me well and taking me for granted. I was at a negative frequency and all bad things came to me. I went for many interviews and none called me back. Things got worse. I nearly broke up with my boyfriend. It was like a vicious cycle, nothing went well for me, and I kept crying and feeling depressed.

I tried very hard to practice The Secret but it was not working. I visualized and tried to be grateful, but it just would not work. So I was wondering what went wrong.

Then I realized that I was blaming Covid, and because of the lockdown, the employment market got worse. I was watching the news every day about retrenchment and the lousy market.

Then I went for another job interview. I went all the way till the final round and they told me that they chose another lady instead of me. I got so upset and I cried so badly. Again, why were things not going well for me?

Then I told myself that it was OK, the Universe is always working for me so there must be something better for me. After I got turned down from so many rounds of interviews, I went to read my LinkedIn messages. I found out that there was an older message from another company’s HR department that I had missed. So I thought, why not reply to her now? I have nothing to lose anyway. So I did. She arranged an interview for me to meet the hiring manager.

Before I went for the interview, I told myself and the Universe that the interview is going to be a breeze and it is going to be an immediate acceptance.

Indeed, the interview was easy but I was told I would be contacted within the week if I was shortlisted. I left feeling confident, despite the fact that all the other interviewers in the past had told me the same thing and had never gotten back to me. I kept myself positive and thanked the Universe for giving me a great offer.

And guess what? “Your wish is my command”. The Secret says, that it could be that you wake up, and it’s just there.

I woke up the next morning, and HR called to offer me the job without going for the 2nd round! I thanked the Universe for hearing me and giving me what I wanted. It was really easy!

The reason why I did not get myself a job for a year was that I was too afraid that I couldn’t get a job. Each time after an interview, although I would thank the Universe for that job, I would also email HR to ask for feedback. I was scared that I would not get the job and so I continued to be jobless. The Universe could not deliver to me what I wanted. I should have let it go and felt positive, knowing that the Universe was still working for me.

Now I am asking for a proposal from my boyfriend of 5 years. I want to be his Missus and get pregnant with a baby girl, as soon as the Universe can give it to me. I am ready to recover all of this.
