My boyfriend and I just ended our relationship a couple of months ago. I was heartbroken but instead of turning to sadness, depression, and sorrow, I decided to start practicing The Secret again. I had practiced The Secret many years before meeting my ex and ironically, I manifested him into my life. However, over the course of our relationship, I had forgotten a very fundamental rule of The Secret: Gratitude. And over time my relationship deteriorated. Instead of being grateful for my relationship, I would just look at the little parts that I did not like which then manifested into more things I didn’t like.

In the couple of months that we have been apart, I have started to practice gratitude again. I write in my journal every day and say thank you for everything I have in my life. I even started saying thank you for all the wonderful things my ex used to do during our relationship and I have slowly noticed that our relationship getting better. For example, I would write in my journal, Thank you, Wyatt, (I changed his name for the story) for being so thoughtful and for thinking of my family for the holidays. We still are not back together but I had to pick something up at his house the day before Mother’s Day, and he gave me a gift to give to my mom for Mother’s Day!

Not only has my relationship started to slowly get better but I have also been manifesting small, trivial things. For example, the other day at work I said that I love our summer work parties at the restaurant, Tavern on the Green. I hope it’s at Tavern on the Green this year! I went back to my desk and there was an email announcement: Summer Work Party is at Tavern on the Green this year! I manifested it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now since I want to marry my ex-boyfriend, I have been asking the Universe to give me a sign that would tell me if he will be my husband. Last week I said to the Universe, “If he is my husband show me a pig, if he is not then show me a turtle.”

A night later I was watching TV, and there on the TV appeared a pig as part of the movie intro. It was crazy! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Just to make sure it was real, today I asked the Universe again and said, “If he’s my husband show me a dog and if he is not then show me a cat. While I was walking home from work I saw 5 dogs! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am now asking to manifest that I will be engaged by 11/11 of this year because this is a strong number for me and one that I constantly see. Stay tuned, I hope to be sharing my ‘happily ever after’ story very soon!
