My story is about recent events. I realized once I watched The Secret movie, and read the book, that I have lived my life by this for smaller things. So then I moved onto larger things and it truly is working and I’m so grateful to Rhonda and everyone who brought this work to us.

In 2007, it was determined that I needed a total hip replacement. I was 47 at the time and shocked and worried. I talked to one person who said not to worry and that he was extremely happy with his results. He was a year younger than me and a strong young man. Once the shock subsided, I told myself I was going to come out of this surgery even better than he did his, even though I didn’t know how. Two weeks after I said that, a friend was cleaning out her garage and gave me a bicycle that she no longer used, to aid in my recovery. After surgery, which went perfectly, and as soon as I was using a cane and no longer using a walker (2 weeks, wow) I started riding that bike. I rode every day. I worked up to 14 miles one day and 21 miles the next. While helping that same friend move up to Spokane (she put positive actions out and they came back to her in a big way) I rented a bicycle and rode a bike trail up there. I rode 44 miles exactly 4 months to the day of my surgery! When I looked at the trail map and figured out what I’d done, I literally cried tears of joy and gratitude for The Secret teachings, and my excellent recovery. When I told my surgeon at my 6 month check-up, his eyes misted up and he gave me a big hug.

I had started dating post divorce after that, but no one was quite right. And it was because I was only getting what I asked for. So I made a list and asked for everything I wanted and what happened was incredible. I got in touch with an old friend from junior high and high school. We had so much in common and had so much fun as friends back then. It turns out as time passed, we grew even more similar. I love the man he has turned into.
