I’m going to begin by saying THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Rhonda and her entire team for bringing The Secret, The Power, and The Magic to us… you have filled our lives with joy and happiness! I’ll also ask for your patience in advance for this rather long story, and hope you find it inspiring just like so many stories on this site have inspired me.
I have been a believer of The Secret for years now, and have been practicing the LOA, being positive, visualizing, etc. Like many others, I too have gotten self-involved with life and forgotten it from time to time and then gotten back to it. But it’s only been in the last 2 years that magical things have happened in my life.
In early 2011, I decided I had to make things happen for myself.. so I made a list of all the things I wanted and the top 2 were:
1. To quit my job, take a break and find a great job that’ll make me truly happy
2. Fall in Love
I put my wish list out there and began practicing. Alongside, I also made a vision board with lots of pictures of happy couples, places I wanted to travel, material things I wanted.. all of it. I made a list of all the things my perfect partner should be.. the list had over 50 qualities I was looking for. And then I began the process of visualizing.. the process of manifesting.
A month later, I quit my job and decided to take a few months off. I made plans to travel, sorted out my expenses to travel and figured by when I would need this new “dream” job. I focused on having a great time with friends and family, all the while believing that I’m certainly going to attract that perfect job. I would tell friends and family that there was no reason to worry and that even with the current job market (which wasn’t great) I would find a good job, and some even worried that I may be too optimistic or overconfident. A few interviews and 4 months of holidaying later, I got offered a position in a great company, with a good salary, great people and a great work culture. My PERFECT job… I was thrilled!
I continued my practice, but I can tell you this, it was easier to believe I would land my perfect job, but not that easy to get to the “believe” stage to attract my perfect partner. I needed to consciously make an effort to be happy, to be positive. I would spend hours reading The Secret stories shared by so many of you to feel motivated (Thank you to all those who shared their amazing stories). Slowly but surely, I got there. A few months later, I met this man.. who was everything I’d ever asked for. He was EVERYTHING that my list had. Now we’ve been seeing each other for a little over a year and got engaged last month! Getting our families together was not easy, but believe me when I say this… it’s nothing short of magical.. the way in which everything happened so smoothly for us. And I attribute all this to gratitude. After I read The Magic, I started thanking the universe for everything in advance, and magically everything happened in exactly that fashion. It was so beautiful. Life has become so amazing!
Now that we are planning our wedding, we’ve been talking a lot about our expenses and though we both make very good money (and both believe in and practice The Secret), somehow we seem to constantly be in debt. That’s when I realized that we were not practicing gratitude for the money we have. About a week ago, I read the chapter on “money magnet” to my fiancée and we talked about all the things we are doing wrong.
I told him, I’m gonna do everything the book says and be grateful to all the money. I didn’t keep an amount in mind but kept practicing. Last Saturday, as I woke up, I had a message from my bank, and before I could open it.. I had this tingling feeling (or belief) that I was getting some money… and it happened! I received $500 unexpectedly. It was some kind of refund.. but I can tell you I have never received it earlier and was definitely not expecting it! I was so thrilled.. and thanked the universe a million times.
I wanna say this to anyone who doesn’t believe in The Secret or is finding it hard to practice.. please don’t give up. Gratitude is magic. It will change your life.
I live each day knowing I have everything I’ve wanted, and believing I can manifest anything I don’t have. It’s a magical feeling. This really does work!
