Moranbah, Queensland, AustraliaI’m a registered nurse. I am 56 and I have three kids. I have been married twice, because the lesson clearly wasn’t learned the first time! However, I had to do it to get the beautiful kids I have, and the most magnificent 5 grandkids in the world, thank you! I love dogs, being with my siblings, grandkids, kids, and I love playing golf, hiking, and bike riding!
I am always lucky! My youngest, Jack, always says he is also always lucky!
My daughter and granddaughters gave me peace and family tree earrings for my birthday! That’s the kind of stuff I love!
I had laser treatment for sun damaged skin because I was a big sun lover in my youth. I had a comp day for golf and it is a pretty big event, so I wore a huge hat for sun protection and played!
After the game, it was so hot. I went to wash my face, and that was when I noticed that both earrings on one ear were gone!
I looked at the basin which had big holes, so I thought that they would have just been washed down the drain.
I told my golf partner and best friend, Amanda. She was concerned and said that maybe we should get Richy the pull the drain out. I said, don’t worry, I am sure that they will turn up, I am always lucky like that!
I went home, went for a shower, and I stood on something sharp. I thought it was a piece of coal, as my husband, Blu, is a contractor at a coal mine. However, it turned out that it actually was one of my earrings! So I got my phone and turned on the light app, got down to floor level, and there it was! The peace earring! I texted Amanda and I said to her, “I’m always lucky like that!”
