This is my story…
I always knew that I would do something “big”. I wasn’t sure what that “big” thing would be, I just knew I would. I always said to myself that I would help a lot of people somehow, in some way, and that I would travel around the world spreading the “word”. Again, I wasn’t sure how that would play out and I’m still not exactly sure how that will happen – I just know it will happen!
My wife and I married and immediately moved to Florida from New Brunswick, Canada. We were forced to come home due to financial reasons and ended up living in a cottage, without jobs and on welfare. It was a tough time for finding work; there was a recession going on, but we stayed positive and managed to find work only two months after coming home.
When I was twenty-two I was devastated by the death of my twenty-three year old brother, but I knew that I must move forward and be grateful for the time I was able to spend with him. A year later my wife and I gave birth to a baby girl – she died in my arms after living for only 2 hours. I remained thankful for having my wife and her love to comfort me. We stayed positive and now have a beautiful and gifted little girl.
Only a few years after our daughter was born, my wife’s brother (who was also 23 years old) died of cancer. We helped try to save his life and watched him slowly slip away, but again, were very thankful for the years we were able to spend with him.
We lived in apartments and at my grandmother’s for a while, but we stayed positive and focused on the future. We knew that we had more to offer and we knew that as long as we stayed positive and stuck together that anything was possible.
If any two people had the “right” to be depressed – it was us. We didn’t let life get us down and instead we pressed forward; worked hard and made things happen. Two years ago, tragedy struck again, when we lost another baby, this time a boy, at only 24 weeks. We were devastated, but vowed that we would stay strong.
After watching The Secret at least a dozen times now, I realize that I have been living The Secret for my entire life. The law of attraction is guiding me every day. It is difficult to stay positive some days and it is hard to remain focused on the good things in my life.
I am forever grateful for the things in my life and my life is incredible. Today, my wife, my daughter, and I live in a beautiful new home with a pool, hot tub, complete gym and theatre, two new vehicles in the driveway, a thriving martial arts club and a new business that promises to be very successful. I am happy and I love my life; my wife and my daughter. I have some big plans for the future, including traveling around the world to help people learn from my story – that anything is possible if you believe in The Secret and follow the basic laws contained in The Secret. I want to write a book and share my story with as many people as possible. I truly believe that my story can help thousands of people around the world. I know it will happen because I want it; I believe it and I know that there are people out there who I will come in contact with who will help make all of my dreams a reality. I don’t know who they are yet and I don’t know how it will happen – I just KNOW it will happen.
