Hello everyone, I am just actually laying down in bed right now, smiling and thinking how blessed I am every day and I am very grateful so I decided to visit my favorite site thesecret.tv and share my thoughts why I feel grateful. So let me begin.
Six years ago, way back on my college days 2009, I was freshmen studying a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. I joined an organization, a networking business to make some extra money, and that’s how I encountered The Secret because they were motivating us to make really good money. But because I was busy with my studies, I decided to just focused on them, so I really didn’t mind about The Secret.
After 2 years, in 2011 my life turned upside down. I was really down. My first relationship was broken because his family was against us, my 2nd relationship ended because he cheated on me. My friends betrayed me, and I felt like I only have my family and no one else to trust.
In 2012 I decided to take my job training for school outside the Philippines and that was in Hawaii, USA. I remembered about The Secret and I downloaded it on my laptop and to keep watching it. I was also praying at the same time because during that time I was still hoping to pass my visa interview in the US Embassy, Manila. I was attracting using The Secret a very nice consulate to interview me and luckily I only had like 3 easy questions and I made it!
I stayed in Hawaii for almost 4 months and there I moved away from my bitterness in life, met a lot of friends and traveled around paradise. After that I went back to Philippines and finished my studies. I graduated at 2013.
After graduation, I had no plans. And I felt like going out of the country again. I had my family and friends and I was happy about that but I felt like there was sadness in disguise, something that my heart really desired. I applied to go back to USA but I decided to try a different State. Come what may, whatever state is fine.
While I was in the long process for my papers, I keep rereading my book of The Power and was still watching The Secret on my laptop. I also kept reading inspiring stories in this site and I told myself one day I will write something about me here.
I made a vision board and put photos of the things and places I wanna see. And I wrote down in my notebook my ideal future husband. I also wrote that after my 1 year contract in USA I want my visa extended as H1B or however it would happen, I believed it’s gonna be extended.
A year ago, April 2 2014 I arrived here in Anchorage Alaska. I had nothing with me but my bag, my hope, my faith and dreams to find real happiness inside me.
April 14, 2014 as I walked by in the lobby to the hotel where I worked I met a guy at the bell desk where he is working. I was surprised when somebody said “Hi how are you doing? What is your name?” As I turned back, he was smiling looking at me and I felt like it was a love at first site. I couldn’t help but smiled back at him and he handed me his hand so I shook hands with him.
After that we would always see each other at work and we exchanged phone numbers since I did not have any friends here yet. He was the one that took me around and I never thought he was falling in love with me. He told me the day before he asked my name he saw me already and he had fallen in love with me at first site.
Everything was really quick and we made it official a month after we met. I had been single for 3 years and I met a lot of guys. To tell honestly, there were also a lot of guys chasing me but I have never met a guy like him. He was truly worth the wait!
On my birthday in June, he gave me an infinity necklace because he said his love for me is endless and he really proved that to me every day. He introduced me to his family and they are very nice and they accepted me into the family. It was my dream to have a family-in-law like them since my last relationship broke up because of family issues.
On October 19th, 2014 during our vacation he proposed to me at the top of Space Needle in Seattle Washington. And of course I said yes! We also went to California and stayed most of the time at the beach. We went to Disneyland, Los Angeles and saw the Hollywood Sign.
It was all in my vision board back home in the Philippines!
We got married December 19,2014! He petitioned for me to stay here after our wedding and after only 2 months I got my Green Card!!
It was all my dreams to have a very loving husband, faithful and understanding and to have a family like his family; very supportive, the same as my family in the Philippines.
Now every day I am living the life I have always imagined. Sleeping and waking up in the arms of my loving husband is just the greatest gift that God has given me.
Thank you so much to The Secret with all my heart! Thank you Universe! Thank you Rhonda Byrne and of course thank you Lord God!
Continue to inspire, everyone! More power and God bless!
Love,
K.D. Garcia
