I had been listening to The Secret, followed by The Power on my way to various assignments while in the car. Both recommend trying to manifest something small in order to practice using The Secret.

My lucky number is 42, but I generally do not come across it in daily life. Douglas Adams’ book, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is one of my all-time favorites and the reason that number has particular meaning to me. According to the book, it is the answer to “Life, the Universe, and everything” but no, they still don’t know what the actual question is!

Anyway, on Monday, I thought, “OK, I want to see the number 42 on a license plate.”

On Wednesday night, I saw it not just once, but twice on two different cars! One on my way to the gym, one on my way home. I had to laugh out loud both times.

I have had instances in my life where things I was considering materialized, but this was the first time I had tried to make a specific request.

If the Universe can move people, events and circumstances, as Rhonda Byrne says, to meet my small request, why not a much larger one?

We’ll see if the lovely black gelding with fantastic gaits and kind eyes from my dreams materializes, if only I ask!
