For me to be sitting here telling my story is overwhelming to me. I kept hearing about The Secret from September 2011 as I was on my journey of personal development, it kept popping up and I kept saying I was gonna read it, until one day I got round to ordering it from the local library. I first watched the movie and then read the book in November 2011 and my life has never been the same since then.

When I first read the book only 5 months ago, I had no income and that’s no exaggeration. I had “0.00” euro coming in. I was sharing a bedroom with my husband and two children. To say I was stuck in a rut would be an understatement. I had reached rock bottom and would have taken anything at that time and The Secret came along and from the first time I watched the video, everything just clicked, everything made sense, and I BELIEVED in it.

I wrote myself a check of 5,000 euro dated 31 December 2011 which I glued to my diary. I never leave home without it. Everyday I read the check and every day I said thank you for the check. And to make a long story short, by December 2011 I had earned 4980 euro. Now it didn’t fall on my lap, I had to follow my instinct and take action, but I came from having zero income to earing close to 5000 euro in a month. I used that money to start a new life in Dublin. I am now writing to you from a two bedroom apartment on the top floor with a gorgeous view overooking Dublin city. This is the best place I have ever rented.

I now rent and live with my family. Now I must stress that I have spent the last four YEARS sharing a room with my family. My 3 year old son was born living in a room with his parents and has spent his life like this. We have a 5 year old daughter as well. The Secret gave me the confidence and courage to take leaps forward and change my life. For me The Secret was like my guardian angel walking step by step beside me through the sand and carrying me through the tough times. I say this because I refered to it everytime during the transition which like I said was not easy. All through the journey, different clips of The Secret would pop into my head such as you dont have to see the whole staircase, just take the first steps, something like that. And quotes like ‘my life at the time is not a reflection of my future, it is a residual effect of my past’. This meant to me that I can take steps to be where I want to be in the future.

I now have the best job I have ever had, earning more money than I have ever earned and living in my dream apartment all within 5 months of coming in contact with The Secret. I have big plans for the future and confident and believe that the universe will make all my dreams come true as long as I ASK AND I BELIEVE, AND APRECIATE EVERYTHING I HAVE.
