I am writing this story just to help acknowledge the power of the Secret, and to hopefully show others who may read this that the Secret works! It takes an open mind and a human spirit, and that’s it.

I have always believed that you should live your life in a certain manner, by treating others as you would like to be treated, etc. However, over time my spirit was lost. Not gone, but much dwindled. I was recently at a point in my life when I felt as if why me, why do i deserve this.
Let me backtrack for you….

I started dating someone over a year and a half ago, things were very emotional, and we had a strong connection from the very start of the relationship. I could not ask for more; he is handsome, smart, funny, kind, and has the most love I have ever seen someone have in their heart. What more could I ask for.

Into a year of dating we moved in together. I moved into his apartment. As any relationship takes some time to get used to living together,
I thought things would get better as we just got used to living with one another, but things just got worse. We were at a point where we would live our separate lives and just “live” together. He wound up losing his company and had suffered terrible financial damages (which to say the least did not make the relationship better). I was done, he gave up, and so did I.

I started looking for a new apartment just before Christmas. And on Christmas, my mother gave me The Secret book.

The following day I started to read it. Instantaneously it lifted my spirits. I came home that day with a smile on my face. I recited things to myself, such as: I am loved, I am Happy, I am Beautiful.

The next day I continued this, and within a week I honestly felt as if my life was turned around. I no longer came home looking for a fight, we talked, we understood each other once again. We found our love.

Within three weeks of reading The Secret my life has drastically improved, and my happiness is so evident that it has now trickled onto others at my job, friends, etc.

I have passed The Secret onto my boyfriend, and he has started working again, and our life is on a positive level. You get what you give. And thinking positive is the most important tool in life.

I re-read many special passages in The Secret, to help keep my mind on the right path of thinking.
