Justice Took Long.
In December 2019 my son was at work when a serious accident occurred. My son was so disgusted that he quit his job immediately. The police were involved but didn’t seem to take him seriously about what had happened. It felt like David versus Goliath.
Fourteen months later a letter arrived for my son from the police charging him with a very severe offense relating to that accident. Due to the distance from our home to where the accident happened, it was difficult to find a solicitor to take on his case but eventually, we found the most amazing representative. The court case was adjourned on several occasions and this was constantly overshadowing my son’s career. As a family, we couldn’t see beyond the court case.
I decided to add cuttings taken from the internet to my vision board bearing the words, “Case dismissed”. It was next to the bedroom door so every time I left the bedroom I would look at it, smile, and visualize it actually happening. At the same time, I would be thanking the Universe for giving this to us. I also visualized writing this story to share with others.
Eventually, last week after a further 13 months of waiting, the case was held. Magistrates listened to the circumstances unlike the CPS and police seemed to have done. After only 20 minutes of deliberations, a decision was made. Legally we were aware that a lesser punishment was still very severe. We went back into the courtroom and the magistrates all agreed that there had been extenuating circumstances and my son left court with only a fine. No charges had ever been brought to the company and minimal investigations were carried out. The discrepancies that had been found were never questioned any further. It was a case of the little man taking on the big man but justice prevailed at the final hour. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We firmly believe that the vision board played a key part in helping us think as positively as possible in the darkest of times and also allowed us to get the outcome that, frankly, astounded even the solicitor.
I truly hope that this inspires those fighting a legal battle to stay positive and to never, ever give up hope. The Universe is bigger than the system! Thank you so very much for The Secret.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!
