Just In Time!

I saw the The Secret film and read The Secret several years ago, as well as the other books that have come out since. I'm still a bit on the fence with the law of attraction, but I've practiced some of the methods recommended because I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I haven't received the ultimate gift from the universe yet that I'm hoping for. Maybe because I've been a bit skeptical, however, today a series of events occurred that seemed a little too perfect to be coincidental.
This morning I was extremely stressed out about an $800 unexpected bill. I had to mail the check and have it paid by Monday, otherwise I would have additional charges.I wasn’t sure how I was going to cover my other routine expenses for the month. As I was getting ready to head in to work I was thinking “I’m so exhausted from worrying about money all the time”. I just wanted to crawl back into bed and sleep instead of work. But, you gotta do what you gotta do, so I headed to the office.
I get into the office, look at my personal phone and see an email from The Secret with the subject line “When will money come?” I actually laughed out loud and said, “No kidding”. Talk about timing! Right when I’m more stressed about money than I have been in some time.
This was the email:
“It is when you no longer feel the need for money that money will come. The feeling of needing money comes from the thought that you don’t have enough, and so you continue to create not having enough money.
You are always creating, and when it comes to money, you are either creating the lack of it or the abundance of it.”
May the joy be with you,
Rhonda Byrne
The story doesn’t end with the impeccable timing of that email though. After reading the email above, I relaxed a bit, went on with my day and actually forgot about the $800 bill to the point where I almost didn’t send the check out. A conversation about an unrelated topic somehow reminded me just in time. I rushed over to one of those independently owned post office stores because the real post office had already closed. I walked up to the counter and asked if I could still get something delivered by Monday. She says, “As long as we give it to the mailman before he leaves.” The mailman happened to be outside loading his truck. Off my check went out just in time.
After sending the check that had me so stressed earlier in the day, I headed home. I had two pieces of mail in the mailbox. Junk mail and the other piece looked like a check. I opened it up to find a $4600.00 check that wasn’t supposed to come until October! It came almost a month and a half earlier than expected! Thank you universe, that $4600.00 check came just in time!
Four perfectly timed coincidences! The email from The Secret that relaxed me, the conversation that reminded me about the bill, the timing of the mailman, and the $4600.00 check, what were the chances?
