My life has been full of ups and downs. I am generally a very positive person but am prone to moments of weakness where I cannot see the ‘light’ so to speak. A couple of years ago I was in a down moment. I had followed my partner at the time to a city I didn’t want to live in. I had left my job, home, friends, family and cat behind and now my relationship was suffering. I had gone against my instincts.

A friend of mine had mentioned The Secret to me some time before but it had slipped from my mind. One day I had decided to stop being such a victim and to be more productive and went for a walk through the new city. I walked into a bookshop. For no reason, I just walked into that bookshop and all the way to towards the ‘self-help’ section. It was here that I found The Secret. I remembered my friends voice telling me about it and I spent my last few pounds on it.

I went home immediately, made a cup of tea and settled in. The effects were incredible and instant. As I read the book I thought about a friend I hadn’t heard from since the move. I thought about how much I wanted to talk to her and I received a text. As I read the book, I received a text! This was just the start.

As I began to focus on what I wanted from life instead of what I didn’t want and started to reject negativity, I could see the relationship I was in starting to fade. It was hard but the more I committed to The Secret, the better I felt and the less connected I became with my partner. This continued for a couple of weeks until we both woke up one morning and mutually decided to end things. With no hard feelings. Nice and easy.

That night my family picked me up and I went to live with my sister. My family was around me all the time, I visited an old friend by the seaside, visited my old home town every weekend and spent time with friends. I made a new ‘soulmate’ best friend, money started to flow in and best of all, I had my cat! Life was so good again.

Now I have constant gifts from the Universe although they don’t always occur as you think they should. For example, recently I was forced out of a job that was starting to make me stressed only to receive two huge tax rebates, win an amount on the lottery and begin my new career in HR!

I guess my point is that even if it seems like using The Secret may be taking you away from your ultimate goals in the short term, in the end it is directing you towards everything that you want. You just have to believe that the Law of Attraction works. Trust it. Have faith in it. Give thanks. Be grateful. Stay positive!
