I have known of The Secret for some years now. I watched The Secret video documentary just when I rounded up my secondary school education. It made me realize that a lot of the things I had wanted I had attracted over the years, both the good thoughts and even the negative thoughts.

While in school, I always wanted to be in the debate team. I would visualize being one of the speakers representing my school in the debate. And believe me, at that time I did not really see any clear path towards achieving that because I was really withdrawn in public and my grades were also poor. The debaters chosen by my school were usually topping their class academically. Even without knowing about The Secret back then, I would just visualize being a part of the debate team and just like magic, I got a chance!

One afternoon one of my hostel room seniors who was part of the debate team was going for a rehearsal and she asked me if I could go with her. The Universe brought that opportunity my way without me even realizing it at that time. What was supposed to be me just going with her to sit while all debaters rehearsed for an upcoming major debate competition, ended up with the debate coach sighting me all the way at the back of the staff room. I was sitting there when the coach asked me to go and prepare some points on the topics the other debaters were rehearsing and present them the following day!

The rest is history after that day. I ended up being one of the major speakers in my school’s debate team. I represented my school in major competitions around the country and my school was a military boarding secondary school, so I also got to represent the Nigerian Army in the President’s Inter-secondary School Debate competition twice! Once before I graduated and another time after I had graduated.

I was called to represent the Nigerian army, as my name and those of my fellow debaters at that time were already sent for the debate. This particular one I attracted deliberately after watching The Secret documentary the month after I graduated.

This is what I did. I missed debating for my school so much that I would stand by the mirror and visualize myself debating. I would feel ecstatic and I was full of pure bliss after that, as though it was real. Again, just like magic, about two months after completing my secondary school education, I was called back to represent the Nigerian Army in the president’s debate competition among secondary schools. At that moment I couldn’t believe what had happened, that simply standing in front of the mirror and doing that visualization could manifest my desire so fast.

This was the first time that this had happened in my school ever! Everyone should know that the military operates with strict laws. After graduating, they could have just found someone else to replace me but they choose to call me and all my debate team members back to represent the Army. I was so happy to do that one more time with my fellow debaters. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am sharing this story to inspire someone and let them know that The Secret is real. The law of attraction is real and thoughts really do become things. Even without knowing about The Secret at first, it worked for me and then after knowing about it, it really brought my thoughts and visualization to reality.

Right now I have completed my university education and I currently have a job that I attracted deliberately. I have attracted my relationships, both the ones that ended sadly and the ones that gave me happiness. The law of attraction is really working whether what we think and feel is negative or positive. Right now, I am preparing to share my next story on how I attracted my soulmate and started my multi-million naira business. I believe God and the Universe are bringing all that to me already. I hope to share my story here again, so this is not at all the last story this girl will be sharing here!
