Hello to everyone at The Secret and readers of my story.

Thank you for sharing positive vibes through The Secret, The Magic, The Power and Hero. I love all of the books and often tell others about the books as well as to watch The DVD. I have even had the opportunity to meet and take a photo with Rhonda Byrne at Barnes & Noble as well as Jack Canfield at the L.A. Times Book Fair. Perhaps I’ve dreamed of meeting them into reality after watching the DVD so many times!

While I have always been a naturally and genuinely happy person who knows the importance of saying thank you, after reading The Secret and watching the DVD it was a reminder that it’s important to stay in the attitude of gratitude as well as have big dreams.

I dreamed of traveling as a little girl. My dream came true once my Mom and I traveled to Florida for the first time. Though I was a little girl, I remember the rush and fascination of being on an airplane and going somewhere completely different from where I was from, the midwest. Once upon the airplane, I remember the flight attendant giving me a pendant which was a set of gold wings. It completely made my day. As I put that pendant on, I felt like traveling was truly what I wanted to do when I grew up. The thrill, rush and excitement of being on a plane absolutely rocks my world.

Now that I have grown up, having visualized being in different countries, seeing and experiencing new cultures, flipping through travel books and magazines as well as watching destinations on TV, I knew that I would travel the world. The Secret inspired me to create a vision board of what my dream life looked like, including places I imagined traveling to, places I wanted to see, things I wanted to do and which airlines I wanted to fly. Even to this day, I love every single moment of preparing for my travels, packing my luggage, and arriving at the airport.

Imagine my surprise looking back at my vision board on my desktop as well as a dream book I created in my journal and seeing not only some of the destinations come to life, but feeling the amazement that my dreams actually came true. As of today, I have traveled to 14 countries and 4 continents and I’ve loved every moment of my travels. I have even traveled solo to some of the countries. My enthusiasm for traveling and seeing new places even inspired me to write a book. Who knew I’d write an actual book about traveling? Sharing my travels to friends and family has even inspired others to get an actual passport and travel to the same places I’ve traveled to, imagine that!

Recently, while flipping through my vision board dream journal, I noticed that part of the title of my book had reflected words cut out of a magazine a while back, flying high. My book title is Jet Set Dreams: A Girl’s Guide To Flying High. My dream of traveling the world has inspired me to write a book, inspire others to not only get a passport, experience my love of traveling and read my adventurous stories. That may in return, inspire the reader to get out and see the world, whether it’s in their own hometown or by experiencing their own adventures overseas.
