I had a beautiful cat for many years named Izzy. For Christmas, I received a cool, larger than life, paint-by-numbers canvas of her. One day I was sitting across from it and I thought about how I missed her and said out loud, “Send me a sign that you’re still around me.” Then I immediately opened The Secret Super App to read the day’s stories and the first story was titled “A Sign.”

I laughed at her sense of humor and thought it was funny, but I still wanted more proof!

I went for a walk on the beach later that day and there were large plant stalks I had never seen before washed up on the shore. I finally found a small one and picked it up to inspect it and it looked just like a mouse that was Izzy’s favorite toy! We used to call her mouse Ignatz. The plant stalk had two eyes, a nose, and two ears, and was shaped like a mouse and everything!

My husband and I laughed at the sign and I threw it into the ocean. Then as we walked about three more blocks to the coffee shop, I kept wishing that I had taken a picture of it before I threw it in the ocean.

After getting coffee we returned to the beach to walk back. My husband said maybe we could find it if it had floated back up on the beach so I could take a picture. I looked at the pieces all over the beach and thought my chances were slim but the minute I looked down, three blocks from where I threw it in the water, there it was laying at my feet! We took many smiling photos and then happily headed on our way! Thank you!
