I grew up having a very negative outlook on life and took on the role of being a “victim” and blaming others. Everything changed when I saw The Secret on Oprah. I bought the book and DVD and it made so much sense to me. It was life changing. I started out with an experiment, and made a request for one girlfriend with several qualities, and after two months, she appeared in my life. I was able to improve my social life by making different requests. The most obvious and amazing request was when I was looking for a job…

I graduated college and during the economic downturn when all the companies were downsizing, I was a graduate with no experience looking for a job. I could not even get an interview for six months. I used the LOA to make a request for a job, I specified that I would like to work in Beverly Hills, the type of company, the type of position, and I said I want to work 4 days a week (now how many office jobs offer that???).

Well after several months of practice, I landed several interviews. Two interviews rejected me, and the third one, I just knew it was mine, because the company was in the exact location, the exact type of company, for the exact position I specified. And during the interview the manager told me that one of their perks is that they offer an optional 10-hour-days/4-day-work-week schedule. This was amazing! I was speechless! I was so confident that I was going to get an offer, my boyfriend thought it was very strange that I was so excited, considering I had two previous rejections.

Several weeks later, they made an offer. The only problem was that I should have been more specific because the position I wanted had several sub-categories, and I was not doing the one I wanted. Remember, be specific!

I am so thankful to creators of the The Secret, this knowledge gave me happiness, a purpose to life. I am so excited for the future.
