The Prayer Of My Heart

Salt Lake City UtahA single mom of four children
I was adopted at the age of three and a half. I had the most wonderful adoptive parents a child could ever have. I lost them both within ten months. (Ironically, they both died of anorisms on their hearts, same place, just ten months apart.)
My children do not have very much extended family. One day recently, out of the clear blue, I received a letter in the mail. It sent a shiver down my spine. I realized I was having difficulty reading it, because my hands were shaking so much. The letter….was from a younger sibling, one I didn’t even know EXISTED. I have always been a believer in prayer. But as I told my new sister….this was a prayer of my heart, one that I had never given words to. Not only have I gained now a little sister, but an older sister, and in a couple weeks will travel to the town I was born in to meet them, my birth mother, and many other family members. This is BIG!
I received the book THE SECRET last year for my birthday. I read it, and knew that I just wanted to be OPEN to the wonderful things that were going to come into my life and the life of my family! I COULD NOT EVEN IMAGINE how wonderful and BIG the gift would be. I am loved by so many people, and have the large family for me and my kids I never thought was even possible. I think the moral to my story is, never believe that something is impossible, cause the Secret is….nothing is too wonderful or perfect….for you. I continue to believe! I am excited about today, and look forward to each blessing.
