It’s around a year since I have read “The Secret” and since then I am trying to follow it in all small and big things I do. I certainly do have my share of doubts and accordingly I see the manifestations.

I finished my studies 2 months back and I was in search of a job. I always wanted to settle in a main city and so I started applying in various known hospitals in Delhi. As described in”The Secret”, I made a list about the name, location, desired salary, working hours etc., and I used to look at it often and say “Thank you” for the job. I kept applying at various places but nothing happened. Either there were no vacancies or someone else was selected before me. I became depressed after 4 weeks had passed and nothing positive happened, whereas all my friends had jobs already, either in Delhi or somewhere else. Everyday I used to think about my job, but I used to think more that “others have job, but I haven’t. Maybe I lack something”. Finally I decided to go back to my hometown as there were no vacancies in the coming 2 months in any hospitals.

In the meantime,just for a change, I and my sister decided to watch a movie. My favorite star’s movie was supposed to be released in the coming week and I decided to watch it before leaving Delhi. However there was too much rush for the movie and the chances were slim that we would get tickets.So we just pre-booked the tickets, before release of movie, thinking we will get the best seats. Actually, we almost forgot about it as I was too much tensed about not finding the job. But to our great surprise not only we got the tickets ,but we also got the best seat in the movie hall, which would not be possible had we tried to book it in normal way.

We enjoyed the movie a lot, and after that, suddenly something clicked in my mind. I got those tickets because I never contradicted my thought “of getting the tickets and enjoying the movie”. But it was not the same in case of my job. I was thinking constantly that “I don’t have” the job. No wonder it was manifesting everytime…no job!

So I decided to try one more time. I started thinking that I have got a job and I am staying in Delhi. I continued to think and thank daily for almost 1 week. Then on the day I was supposed to leave, I just thought of going one last time to a famous hospital I had applied to before. My train was in the evening, so I just thought to go and talk to the HR and faculties people in the morning.

And no wonder,I got the job the same day.:)))).

There are no words to describe the happiness & thankfulness I felt the moment I canceled my return tickets.

With my experience,I definitely learned that the time it takes to manifest is proportional to the faith we have and the actions we do, even through our thoughts. In case of the movie, as it was a minor thing for me, I didn’t contradict my desire and it manifested immediately (it was easy to believe), whereas in job I had lots of doubts & my own thoughts blocked my desired manifestations.

I am so thankful to Rhonda and the entire Secret team for making my life more and more beautiful with each passing day & I hope my story will help someone to sort out their share of doubts and move ahead with their dreams.:)))))
